Tracks

A Track is the durable record of an Op or a Cog execution: what happened, under which context, which Cogs were invoked, which Guards ran, which Gates were passed or failed, what sources were consulted, who approved, and what was produced. The idea, and the word, are those of the Intelligence Hub whitepaper (section 5.3).

A Track spec is not a record. It says what a record has to include, for how long it is retained, and who may read it โ€” a policy for evidence, which an Op names so that what is kept is decided before the Op runs rather than after something went wrong.

Fieldsโ€‹

FieldMeaning
id, version, name, descriptionAs on every spec.
retain_forHow long a record is kept: 90_days, 18_months, 7_years. Required.
includeWhat a record has to include. Required.
readersThe roles that may read a record; empty means its Op's owner only.
redactField patterns kept out of the record.
feeds_memoryWhether corrections, overrides and failures are fed back to Organizational Memory.
exchangeableWhether a record may leave the Hub that produced it. Evidence is not for sale: false is the only value accepted.
enabledWhether an Op may name it today.

What a record may includeโ€‹

op, frames_used, cogs_invoked, input_data, source_documents, model_versions, configuration, guard_results, gate_decisions, human_approvals, human_edits, final_output, actions_taken, timestamps, user_identity, permissions, environment, memory_links.

Every Track includes at least op, guard_results, gate_decisions, final_output and timestamps: without these a record says neither what ran nor what was decided, and a spec that leaves one out is refused.
